Laura on the Links • North Conway, NH Golf

Hi ladies!. I wanted to give all my golfing lady friends a “head’s up” on the great things to do while you’re squeezing in a round of Golf in the White Mountains of New Hampshire – AKA Or if you want the best GOLF COUPONS, click on the coupons button to link to the best money saving coupons in New Hampshire. As a golfer, you know that golf isn’t JUST about golf. A great golf adventure with your friends includes fun stops along the way. Here are a few New Hampshire fun-family adventures you can have when heading to up to Golf in the White Mountains.

When I travel, I like to go to places that provide more than just one fun activity. Two of those places are the Jack O’Lantern Golf Resort, in Woodstock, NH or the Town and Country Inn and Resort in Gorham. Enjoy panoramic views of the White Mountains while taking advantage of their stay & play golf and dine packages. Nearby Alpine Zipline Adventures in Lincoln or the aerial adventures attraction at Bretton Woods, and Loon Mountain’s Zipline will surely keep the rest of the family busy while you enjoy your time on the links. The kids will also LOVE the quick ride over to Lincoln, where you can also stay at the Indian Head Resort or visit their viewing tower to climb and see the….well, Indian head. There’s also Clark’s Trading Post with train rides and real bear shows! If you happen to visit Indian Head Resort on a Sunday or Thursday night in July and August you will see a lovely firework’s display! Actually, you could also stay at the Kancamagus Lodge where kids 12 and under eat AND stay FREE and it’s only a stone’s throw from Loon Mt.

If you are still up for more fun, a must-do and see is Riding in the Clouds horseback riding in Moultonboro. They also have pony rides and horse-drawn carriage rides. Zeus…the world’s largest horse lived there until his recent passing. Be sure to ask them about him. He was an amazing horse. If you are in the North Conway area, Farm by the River Inn and Stables also has a great horse facility but riding or learning how to drive a carriage. Check out for more fun adventures.

Since your travels may taking you to North Conway in Mount Washington Valley, be sure to check out some of the prettiest golf courses in the east; (I’m thinking The Wentworth, Eagle Mountain House, and Hale’s Location golf courses), you can also find great deals on food and shopping. Swing into North Country Fair Jewelers with your ad from the Shopping in Mt. Washington Valley Map and Guide or online at and save 20% off your entire purchase! After you have worked up an appetite golfing and shopping, treat yourself to a delicious dinner at Merlino’s Steakhouse. Bring in your ad from and receive one free dessert per table or a Kid’s Eat Free meal. Actually, nearly all of the restaurants and shops in the website and map have money saving coupons. New restaurants like Abenaki Restaurant and Pub, Chef’s Market Bistro, and Deacon Street are great new additions to the North Conway Village area. While there, be sure to take in a tour at the Mt. Washington Observatory Science Center in North Conway Village. It’s FREE and their gift store is a weather geek’s paradise.

For some of the prettiest scenery in New Hampshire head up to the North Country and the Great North Woods.  Take Rt 16 north to the Androscoggin Valley Country Club in Gorham, NH. Use the coupon ad from the map and guide and golf for $35 after 1pm per person INCLUDING cart! The Town and Country Resort in Gorham has a wonderful Stay and Play package. Their restaurant is one of the best in the area and they have entertainment, too. What a great place to stay for a Girl’s Golf Weekend! After a fun day golfing, I highly recommend going on Gorham Moose Tour. They have nearly a 100% success rate for seeing those cute but funny-looking beasts.

As you can see, there is so much fun to be had in the Great North Woods, White Mountains and Lake’s Region of New Hampshire. Even if your main focus is golfing, it’s so easy to squeeze in many different types of adventures along the way. These travels are made even easier when you use the maps and guides found at Go to and for even more information about FUN in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
